KeePass password manager for Mac
Open Capsula Vault and choose File → Open (or use Finder — "Open With → Capsula Vault"). Select your .kdbx file and enter your master password and/or key file, if one is used.
Your database file is never copied or moved — it's opened directly at its existing location, including databases stored in iCloud Drive, Dropbox, or other cloud folders.
After entering your master password for the first time, go to Settings → Security and turn on Unlock with Touch ID. The next time you open the app, you'll be able to unlock your database with your fingerprint instead of typing the password.
Your master password is still required periodically and always remains available as a fallback.
Yes. If an entry has a TOTP field configured (compatible with the KeePass/KeePassXC standard), Capsula Vault displays the current code and refreshes it automatically. Codes can be copied with a single tap.
Yes. Capsula Vault uses the standard .kdbx format (versions 3 and 4) and can open databases created in KeePass, KeePassXC, and other compatible apps without any conversion. Changes made in Capsula Vault read back correctly in those apps as well.
Unfortunately, there is no way to recover access without the master password or key file. Capsula Vault never stores a copy of your password and has no way to retrieve it — this is a core part of the .kdbx security model.
If you have a key file, an older backup of your database with a password you still remember, or a CSV export, try using those. Otherwise, the only option is to create a new database.
Capsula Vault doesn't include its own cloud sync service. Instead, you can store your .kdbx file in iCloud Drive, Dropbox, or another cloud storage service — the app treats it like any local file, and syncing between devices is handled by whichever service you choose.

.kdbx files stay wherever you opened them from — on your device or in the cloud storage service you chose. The app has no server of its own and never uploads your data anywhere.
